How do I get started as a volunteer firefighter at Southwest Greensburg?

The easiest way is to first fill out an inquiry form. A member of our team will contact you to schedule a tour of the station and start the application process.

Is the firefighting position paid?

This is not a paid firefighting position; however, you will gain invaluable skills and experience that will benefit you in all aspects of life. In addition, you will form meaningful bonds with your fellow volunteers, all while protecting your community.

What are some of the basic requirements?

While our volunteers have flexible schedules, you will be required to attend monthly meetings, training, occasional special events, and fundraisers.

Do I need any experience to become a volunteer firefighter?

No! No prior training or experience is required for new members to join. You need to be at least 16 years old. After completing your application, you will begin basic training free of charge. Join Southwest Greensburg now!

Yes! Southwest Greensburg Fire Department provides an incredible atmosphere with state-of-the-art apparatus and equipment.
